Brad is a health management industry veteran, having spent most of his career serving on the senior leadership teams for three of the largest vendors in the space: eight years at WebMD Health Services as SVP of Employer Sales and Strategic Client Services, four years with The StayWell Company as CRO/CGO (now part of WebMD Health Services) and two years with Interactive Health as CCO.

Brad has additionally spent time in tele-health and telemedicine, focused on health systems and payers. He also has experience in the venture capital space at Abundant Venture Partners as an Operating Partner working with portfolio companies in the healthcare space on commercialization strategy and execution. Brad has extensive experience in early stage, mid stage, private equity backed, and public companies. He has two exits in his career; one as CEO with Fern Health in 2023 and one as the CGO at StayWell when it was purchased by Merck in 2016.
 

Until recently, Brad was the CEO of Fern Health, a digital health company focused on complex and chronic pain. In this role Brad led the transformation of the company from a digital MSK vendor to a leader in the Chronic Pain space and launched Fern’s solution transition into the Provider/Health System market. In December of 2023 Fern Health was acquired by RealizedCare, a chronic care management company focused on mental and behavioral health. 

Through Marshalsea Health, Brad has served as a strategic advisor to healthcare companies, assisting in sales acceleration and commercialization strategy in the employer health benefits, provider/health systems, and health plan markets.  

Brad has been an angel investor in several digital health and wellness companies and serves on the advisory boards for the Institute for Chronic Pain, CuraLinc Healthcare, MedZero, and also served on the Board of Directors of LifeXT, until their acquisition by Mindful.
 

Brad has a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati, a Master’s from the University of Dayton, and has completed Executive Education in Healthcare Outcomes Research from the Harvard University School of Public Health.
